Candy! Candy! Candy!

Even though the kids were very tired they couldn't wait to have some treats. Jaxen cheered when I told him that they could have a few treats when we got home. It was so cute, as soon as we walked into the door they each found their spot and looked over their goods. "Wow! look what I got!" was what we heard from Jaxen. It was so cute. Kaeryn and Tristan went through their loot with the same enthusiasm. And they all pulled out a treat for Ron and I all on their own. We felt special. We love our cute trick or treaters!

The day ended on such a happy note. I made Homade chili and pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. Ron made cornbread. When we came home we continued the celebration with "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" and we played Harry Potter clue. I made wassil for eveyone. We eventually went to bed and everyone slept soundly. It was a very happy day! Happy Halloween everyone!!!!!

Trick or Treating!

I took some video of the kids trick or treating. This was the house the kids have been asking to go to all month long. Kaeryn would have been in the video but she was so excited to wait for me to get the camera out. She was just as cute as Tristan and Jaxen though. It was so much fun. The kids were very excited. Especially Jaxen. This was his awakening year. He did it last year and said trick or treating but this year he remembered and it was so fun. He would run up to the door with Kaeryn and Tristan. Tristan always made sure that Jaxen got his treat. It was so adorable. Happy Halloween everyone!

Great Pumpkins!

Aren't they so adorable! Everyone was so pleased with the final results. I think they turned out great!

Decorating Pumpkins!

Decorating pumpkins is a highlight for Halloween. We don't tend to carve anymore because the mess is too much, but we love to decorate. Last year we found these potato head parts for pumpkins and we loved them so much that we decided to use them again thhis year. Kaeryn and Tristan love it because they get to use daddy's drill ( with daddy's watchful eye and help). It's a great activity for the kids because they get to do it however they like. Kaeryn chose to make her pumpkin a witch. Tristan chose a vampire and Jaxen's is a pirate. Ron drew a boo face from super mario. I made mine into a pirate and another one as a vampire. Jaxen's pirate was the captain and mine was the first mate. I love doing stuff like this with the kids.

Jaxen's new trick!

Jaxen has learned an important skill in growing up. He has figured out how to do fishy lips. It's so cute. He walks around making fishy lips and popping. Now at bed time I get fishy kisses and butterfly kisses on my cheek. I love it! He always knows how to make us smile!
