Easter Outfits!

One of our Easter traditions is that each of the kids gets to choose a new outfit. We all go together and the kids each take turns choosing their outfit. But they can't wear them until it's easter. Kaeryn still loves to wear dresses and skirts and she choose this cute jumper dress. Tristan and Jaxen both got some denim shorts. Tristan choose a black old navy tee shirt. Jaxen choose a green button up shirt that has surf boards on it. They all got some sandals or flip flops to go with their new out fits. They look so adorable!

Easter Morning!

Happy Easter everyone!!!!! What a fun morning! It's always so fun to see the excitement in the kids eyes! Kaeryn got some scrapbooking stuff and photos. She was excited to finally have pictures for her scrapbook. Tristan had been asking for some art supplies, not the crayola stuff but the real stuff like mom's. He finally got some paints and brushes and paper. Jaxen wanted the glow in the dark coloring set. He was so excited to see it. All three kids spent the day with their new art sets. Jaxen and Tristan would color something with the glow in the dark stuff and then would run to the laundry room so see it glow. It was so cute. Tristan also worked on his first paintings with his new art set. I'm a proud mom! I love that the kids love art as much as I do. I got Ron some of his favorite treats and some pokemon stuff. Ron got me a large pot for me to plant some more flowers in, a grape vine starter and a watermelon starter. I'm very excited to plant our first garden! We had such a fun Easter day! Hope you all did too!!!

Decorating Easter Eggs!

The night before Easter always means decorating eggs. It's always so much fun. The kids always get so creative. They love mixing and matching colors. Jaxen and Tristan kept asking about the Easter bunny and what he will do. It was rainy so they were worried about where the Easter bunny was going to hide the eggs. We reassured them that we would leave a note for him and ask him to hide the eggs inside the house. They were happy with that. I love kids at this age, it's so magical.

Sacramento Railroad Museum

So March 27th was a free day at the train museum. We couldn't pass that up! It's always a fun visit. We love to see all the different types of trains and the history of railroad. The family pic is next to one of the largest trains. It's ron's favorite but I have to say it's a bit intimidating to me. The upstairs is great. It's all model and toy trains. It ends with a play table of Thomas the Tank engine trains. It's so fun to watch the boys. They love it! It's such a fun time!

Jaxen's First Dental Appointment

March 24th was Jaxens first trip to the dentist. He did so good! As a mom you always worry whether your child will be way to upset, scream, cry, etc. But Jaxen was so brave. He sat on the chair all by himself. He opened up his mouth and let his teeth be cleaned, checked all that. He wasn't upset at all and listened and did what he was asked by the dental assistant and dentist. He was so cute! Of course I think the T.V. and movie on the ceiling helped. He loved that! He watched "Horton hears a who". No cavities! Yeah!!!! We are so proud of him! Everyone was so impressed how well he did that they gave him a balloon, stickers and his toothbrush and toothpaste. He also got his first flosser. Now at night when we brush teeth before bed he always asks for his flosser too. I love watching him grow!

Kati and Calcifer

Kati and Calcifer have become one of my favorite practice models for my photography. They are both so easy going that they just sit there and let me click away. These were taken infront of our back door. I thought the lighting and shadows were great. I had to find new models because Jaxen will now run away from me if he sees my camera. Little does he know I can still be sneaky.
