A visit with Abuela and Abuelo!

Well, this is a bit out of order but that's okay. The first of December Ron's mom and dad came out for a visit. They needed to go to the Venezuelan consolate in San Fransisco to renew their venezuelan passports. They came a day early to spend some time with us. It was a great visit. We took them to the California State Railroad Musem. We had a wonderful time. The first floor of the museum if full of actual trains. It's so much fun and neat to see the different trains and see their history. Since it was Christmas time they hung holiday wreaths on all the trains. I thought that was so much fun. The upstairs of the museum is all about toy trains and other vintage toys. It is so fun to see those. It really was like a walk down memory lane. Ron's mom and dad loved it! They pointed out toys that they remembered. We really had a fun day. The kids love their Abuela and their Abuelo and were so happy to see them. I'm so happy we were able to share this happy time with them.

Jaden's First Christmas Season!

You know, there is just something about a baby's first christmas that makes the season seem extra magical! Jaden was so much fun to watch. He was so curious about the tree and he loved to play with all our holiday stuff animals. He loved to see the lights and he would jump to the christmas music. It was Fantastic! Jaxen absolutely loves to listen to Mannheim Steamroller Christmas music. So I would put Jaden in his jumperoo and turn on the music and Jaxen would start to dance and Jaden would jump like crazy! It was the cutest thing! I loved watching every minute of it. Jaden would have the biggest smiles and Jaxen would make sure I was watching his dance moves. I will always treasure those happy memories. Happy first Christmas Jaden!

Winter Break!

Jaxen's school winter break was actually about 6 weeks long. From Thanksgiving to after New Years. We decided to go to the hotel and stay with Ron a couple times. It was a lot of fun. The hotel is right next to a city park and there is also a nature walk way. It makes for staying the week in the hotel pretty great! Jaxen and I (and now Jaden) love to walk on the trail to the park. There's a bridge to cross and Jaxen loves to look down at the creek. Sometimes he will point to things and say " Take a picture of that mom!" It makes me smile! Ron was able to leave work early a couple days and we would go around and look at christmas lights. We saw some amazing light displays this year! That is one of our favorite things to do a christmas time. Is drive around and see the lights. We were near Los Gatos which is where a lot of rich people with huge houses live. Jaxen and I and Ron loved all the lights. I can't wait until next year when Jaden will be old enough to enjoy that with us. I love the excitement this time of year brings!

Tristans School Christmas Program!

This year we were able to go see Tristans school Christmas program. It was so fun to watch. All the kids were really excited and some dressed up for the part. Tristan had a speaking part this year. He did a really good job. He went right up to the microphone and spoke right into it. He wasn't shy at all. It was a fun and cheerful program! After the program was over he was able to come home and begin his holiday break from school. What a great day it was.
