Old Sacramento!

On Saturday we decided to go walk around Old Sacramento. It's so fun, it's just like stepping back in time(sort of). You still walk on a boardwalk. There are horse and carriage rides. The train museum is there and it's really neat to see the trains. You can also take a ride on the spirit of sacramento. We didn't we just walked down to the water where we saw two wild turtles. Some of the candy stores are set up old fashion like. It was fun to take the kids in and let them choose some salt water taffy from the barrels. It was a nice visit and a place I know we will visit again.

He did it! Wahoo!

On March 26th, Ron was finally sworn in as a citizen of the United States. Wahoo! We are so excited that it finally happened. It was a long process and it feels great to not have to worry about that anymore. We celebrated that afternoon by going to one of our favorite snack stops "The cookie jar" and Ron, Jaxen and I each got a cookie. Then on Friday night when Kaeryn and Tristan came for the weekend we went to the hometown buffet for a celebration dinner. Ron also rented a game for the Wii and we played that as a family. It was a fun night. Now that Ron is a citizen we are going to start working on getting our passports and plan some family trips to central/south america and other places. Because now we can!!!!!Congratulation's Ron!!!! We love you!!

Decorating the eggs!

We ended up coloring the eggs after church on easter sunday. The kids decided they wanted to get in their jamies to decorate so they wouldn't color their new clothes. Kaeryn and Tristan had fun helping daddy set up the colors and then decorating the eggs. Jaxen really wasn't interested in the eggs, he just wanted to eat. Ron tried to show Jaxen the eggs, he still wasn't that into it. He liked his banana bread more. I think next year he will be more excited about it. Kaeryn and Tristan sure enjoyed coloring their eggs. They were trying to make them as bright as they could. After the eggs had dried Ron hid them around the house and then Kaeryn and Tristan went on their egg hunt. Jaxen wanted to play with his cars so it was just the older two. I think next year Jaxen will be more excited about the egg hunt also. It was a fun day for all of us!

Easter outfits!

This year we decided to get the kids some new easter clothes. Kaeryn choose this blue dress and she looks so beautiful in it. Tristan choose his red shirt which is so cute and Jaxen loved the firetruck on these overalls so we choose to get those for him. They all look so cute in their new clothes, all ready for spring! We love our beautiful children!!!

Easter Morning!

It was very fun to see the smiles on the kids faces when they saw their easter baskets. Jaxen was very cute, he dragged his basket all around the house. Kaeryn found a stuffed hippo in her basket, Tristan found a monkey and Jaxen found a giraffe. We let them take their new friends with them to church. It was a fun morning.

Easter Eggstravaganza!

On saturday we took the kids to the elk grove park where the city was having a little celebration in the park. It was very cute. The kids had their picture taken with the easter bunny, they helped to release some lady bugs into the park, enjoyed an egg scramble hunt, and had fun at a petting zoo. Of course the petting zoo was a favorite, Jaxen wasn't too sure about it, but it was still fun. It was a beautiful day in the park.

sneaky Jaxen!

The other day I had bought a bag of M&M's. We were easter shopping for clothes for the kids and I brought the bag along to share while we were shopping. Well that started Jaxen coming up and asking me all day if he could have some more. He's so cute when he tries to say please that it's hard to resist. But it did come to a point when I felt he had had enough so I started saying no more. Of course he wasn't to happy about that. But he kept trying and I kept saying no more. after a while he seemed to be interested in other things. He was playing with his car and trucks. It was close to bed time and Ron had started a bath for Tristan. After awhile he came out and suggested that Jaxen come in with Tristan since the bath was in the big tub in our bedroom. It was then that he asked where Jaxen was and I said he was back in his bedroom playing. But I did have a thought that he was being quiet. Ron had gone back to the boys bedroom and the next thing I knew he started to call for me to come quick! Hurry, he said. I went back there and what did we find? Our little Jaxen had found away to get the bag of M&M's down off my desk and was sitting on Tristan's bed eating the whole bag. It was so funny! He was so innocent about it. He just looked up and smiled. When I got the camera he just said cheese! We had a good laugh, but the poor little guy sure had a hard time going to sleep that night. We love you Jaxen!

Our new family member!

Meet Kimahri, our newest family member. Ron has wanted a cat for a very long time. I gave him one for christmas but we just haven't been able to go and get one yet. A friend of ours found this little kitty but wasn't able to keep it. She knew we were wanting a kitty so she asked if we wanted it. Ron is very excited! He named her Kimahri after one of our favorite video game characters. She's a very sweet and loving kitty. She does not like the dog at all and Kati(our dog) is just so curious about her. We all love our new family member very much.

Our first family trip to San Fransisco

Since Ron has been working in San Fransisco, we decided a couple weeks ago to go down for a visit. It was fun. We drove in on the golden gate bridge which was just amazing to us. We thought it was pretty cool. We wanted to go to the golden gate park. There are so many things we would like to do there in san fran, but since we live only a couple hours away now we figured we could do them one at a time. So we started at the park. The park is very beautiful and huge, there is alot to see in the park itself. We decided to go to the conservatory of flowers. Wow! It was so beautiful! There were so many different kinds of flowers and plants. each room that you went into represented a different area( highlands, lowlands, tropics,etc.). It really was beautiful. We did walk around the park area near to the conservatory but by that time the kids were getting very hungry so we decided to go and find some food. but first we had to make a quick stop at the beach because I love to see the ocean and anytime I have a chance to see the ocean I have to take it. My wonderful husband knows that so we made a stop. Unfortunatly, it was so windy there that day that it wasn't that enjoyable for little Jaxen. The wind was also making it hard for me to walk on the sand with my bum knee. So we didn't stay long. But it was still an amazing site to see. I love to see the ocean. It's very awinspiring to me. Ron, being from Venezuela, also loves the ocean and loves to share that with me and the kids. We always look forward to our next trip to the ocean.
