Let's dance

After Jessica and her dad and husband had their dances they opened the floor to everyone else. Tristan went over and started dancing. It was so cute!

Jessica Perry's Wedding

The main reason that we came to Utah was for Jessica Perry's wedding. I used to be "the nanny" when she was younger. I told Ron that I couldn't miss it. It was wonderful to see the family again. I can't believe how grown up they all are. It was really neat to see her dance with her daddy and then he handed her over to her husband Mike. It was really very sweet. They are so cute together. It was a beautful wedding.

Here Comes the Train!

This was our tain. It was so exciting to see it come. I was surprised that it was more roomy than I thought. We got front row seats and one behind. We were in the coach that was right behind the observation/lounge area. That was so nice, the kids loved going into the lounge area. The windows are larger there so you can see more. It was so cool when another train came by on tracks right next to the train. they are so close to eachother. I really loved the intimate drive through the mountains. It was beautiful! Night time wasn't too bad either. We had both of Ron's work laptops so there was two movies going on and we had two nintendo ds's and a PSP. The kids were well entertained. The chairs reclined well back and they even have a leg rest so they weren't to bad to sleep in. Jaxen is the perfect size, he can curl up and lay completely down. Coming home on the train I got to see the sunrise. It was beautiful! I definitly think we will take the train more often.

Waiting for the train.

After we got our tickets we had to wait a little while before our train arrived. But we'd rather be waiting at the station than at home. We all got very ancy waiting at home. The train station was exciting. Even more when we went out to wait by the tracks. I had Jaxen wear his overalls that look like a train engineer. He looked so cute.

The train station

This November we made a visit to Utah to see family and some friends. We decided to take the train instead of flying or driving. It was a little cheaper and it was something we had never done before. The kids were very excited. Ron and I were pretty excited too. The kids each had their own suitcase and I made them a special name tag with shrinky dinks. When we got to the station there wasn't a place to park the van close up so Ron dropped us off at the entrance while he went to find a parking place. Luckily he didn't have to go to far and wasn't gone too long. We were all ready to begin our vacation.

New Park!

We had a new library built near our home that opened a few month's ago. Next to it they built a park with story book themes. One side is "Treasure Island" and the other side it "Swiss Family Robinson". It is such a great park. We took the kids there and they just had a blast. There is this tiger sculpture for the kids to play on in the Swiss family Robinson side and on the Treasure Island side there is a whale sculpture to play on. I think this is a park we will be going to alot more often.

Muir Beach!

Last weekend Ron surprised us all by taking us to the beach. He woke us all up and told us to get ready to go. He wouldn't tell us where we were going though. So after we all got dressed we piled into the car and were off on another Cruz adventure. We were all excited when we got there. We love the beach and the ocean. I gave my sweetheart hugs and kisses because he knows how much I love the ocean. It was great. The waves were really high and dramatic. The water was cold but we still had to put our feet into the ocean. The kids love racing the waves. They will run up to the water's edge and when the waves start to come in they will run away and try to beat them back to shore. Well, we all play that game. We don't always make it and always end up wet, but we don't care. We're having to much fun to notice. We had fun exploring the beach and playing in the sand. It was a perfect day, until Jaxen got knocked over by a wave and was completly drenched with water and sand from head to toe. He didn't like that too much. I think it scared him more than anything. But after Ron took him back to the car to change his clothes, we decided it best to head for home. Jaxen was very upset and was having a hard time calming down( poor thing). So we started for home and got something for lunch. It was a fantastic day. I love the ocean so much. Can't wait to go back!

Candy! Candy! Candy!

Even though the kids were very tired they couldn't wait to have some treats. Jaxen cheered when I told him that they could have a few treats when we got home. It was so cute, as soon as we walked into the door they each found their spot and looked over their goods. "Wow! look what I got!" was what we heard from Jaxen. It was so cute. Kaeryn and Tristan went through their loot with the same enthusiasm. And they all pulled out a treat for Ron and I all on their own. We felt special. We love our cute trick or treaters!

The day ended on such a happy note. I made Homade chili and pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. Ron made cornbread. When we came home we continued the celebration with "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" and we played Harry Potter clue. I made wassil for eveyone. We eventually went to bed and everyone slept soundly. It was a very happy day! Happy Halloween everyone!!!!!

Trick or Treating!

I took some video of the kids trick or treating. This was the house the kids have been asking to go to all month long. Kaeryn would have been in the video but she was so excited to wait for me to get the camera out. She was just as cute as Tristan and Jaxen though. It was so much fun. The kids were very excited. Especially Jaxen. This was his awakening year. He did it last year and said trick or treating but this year he remembered and it was so fun. He would run up to the door with Kaeryn and Tristan. Tristan always made sure that Jaxen got his treat. It was so adorable. Happy Halloween everyone!

Dressing up is fun to do!

Kaeryn is a Goth Princess!
Tristan is Dan from Bakugan!
Jaxen is Buzz Lightyear!
Mom is a witch(Ron said I looked a little like professor sprout because I had some earthy like beads on my hat). Ron was Billy Mays.
