Welcome Baby Jaden!

He's here! He's here! February 10th, 2011 our little Jaden Glen arrived. Ron and I went to the hospital at 5:00 am and at 8:27 am he was born by c-section. Everything went smoothly. It was a wonderful moment to just be chatting with Ron and all of a sudden there is this baby cry and you know he's here at last. Yes, there were tears of joy that were shed at that moment. I couldn't stop looking at him in amazment and wonder. Here we had another beautiful baby boy and our lives were changing forever once again. Jaden weighed in at 8 pounds and 10 ounces and was 20 inches long. He has lots of dark hair and dark eyes. We love him so much and are so happy he is here! He was born at the Methodist hospital in Sacramento, CA. We stayed there until february 13th. I find it interesting that as much as you want to be home with your little one, the hospital and the staff become like family while your there and it feels a bit strange to all of a sudden get up and leave. The nurses were fantastic! They really helped me out when it came to the nursing part. Even though I had nursed Jaxen I found I was a bit rusty. The nurses were great in helping me with getting him to latch on when I needed it. We were able to nurse by the time we came home. I still had some concerns about it, but everyone kept reassuring me that all looked well and that he was doing fine. Ron was the best husband ever! He got up everytime Jaden did and stayed up with me and gave me so much support. He helped me to eat while the Jaden was in cluster feeding mood and I rarely had a chance to think for myself. He would rub my shoulders to help me to stay relaxed because I was so exhausted. He changed all the diapers so that I could rest a bit because getting up and down was still a little difficult for me. He is so wonderful! I know he feels like he doesn't do much to help, but he was more help than he will ever realize. I have to keep reminding him of that. He was so amazing! He even would take Jaden and snuggle with him so I could get some rest. Jaxen and Tristan came to see us in the hospital. Kaeryn was at her 6th grade outdoor ed at the time so she wouldn't get to see him until we came home from the hospital. The boys were so nervous, but they did see him and hold him. When Jaden cried Jaxen would rub his head. I tried to get Jaxen to snuggle with me but he was to nervous to do that. We had told him before that I would have an owy on my tummy and that he'd have to be careful. I wanted him to snuggle with me on the bed but he was to worried about that. Jaxen also tried to give Jaden some food when he cried because he was hungry. I had to explain to him that he only eats moms milk right now and that the food I eat will turn into the milk. Since then he'll give me something and say here you can have this to make more milk. It's very cute! Before Jaden was born Jaxen kept saying he was going to be the one to change the diapers, so when jaden needed a diaper change Jaxen really wanted to do it, we had to ask him to help daddy instead. Since then he hasn't wanted to help much with that but I still thought that was cute that he was serious at first about doing it.

My surgery went really well and my recovery has gone better than I expected. I was able to get up and walk the halls a few times and getting up to the bathroom was managable. But I had really great care that I contribute to that. I'm still in aw and amazment that he is finally here. We waited a long time for him and we are so happy to have our little Jaden be part of our family. Welcome baby Jaden! We love you very much! We can't wait to start making memories with you!

Special Jaxen hugs!

February 9th was a night for us to celebrate. We celebrated the ending of a chapter in our lives and welcoming a new begining. It was the night before our new baby would be born. Jaxen, Ron and I decided to go out to dinner to celebrate. We went to a resurant named B.J.'s Brewhouse. They have really yummy pizza there and that is what Jaxen decided he wanted to have. After dinner when the waitress came to see if we wanted any dessert Ron made a simple request. He asked if we could have the birthday dessert to celebrate the birth of our baby the next day. They thought was a cute request and was happy to do that for us. So they brought us a plate that had a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie(still in the little pan) with some vanilla ice cream on top. Jaxen blew out the candle. It was so yummy! Afterwards, we came home to get things ready for the night. I really wanted to get some pictures with Jaxen. I was going to really miss him in the next few days. We hugged and snuggled. Ron and Jaxen played their video games together. It was a good night. I had a lot of mixed emotions. I was nervous, happy, anxious, excited, full of wonder. What will life be like after today? Can I really do this again? So many thoughts racing through my mind. I know they will all be answered soon. I look forward to this new chapter in our lives. I have a wonderful husband who is so dilligent in helping me with whatever I need. I know he will be there with me all the way as we begin our new adventure. I'm sure we will have our ups and downs, moments of sadness and moments of joy. We'll have more smiles and giggles. And most of all we'll have eachother! I love you Ron! I love you Kaeryn! I love you Tristan! I love you Jaxen! And I love our new little baby. I am excited to meet him and begin this new stage in our life.
