Tristan playing with Jaden!

Jaxen sings to Jaden

Jaden is 2 month's old!

I can't believe that Jaden is already two month's old. It amazes me how fast the time really does go, even though at times it feels like forever. He's growing so big already, yet seems so small. At his 2 month well baby doctor's visit he weighed in a t 12 lbs. and 4 oz. That's four pounds since he was born. He is a little chubbers! I just love him so much. He smiles all the time. He is starting to coo and find his talking voice. He is a beautiful boy! I still look at him with awe and amazement and wonder. He is so precious to me. I love looking at him during our midnight feedings, really they are beautiful moments for me( even though I'm so tired, I wouldn't trade those moments for anything). I love all the snuggles he gives. My heart just melts each time he falls asleep in my arms. I love you sweet boy!

Jaxen's First Bike!

With me being a bit sleep deprived and Jaxen only going to preschool twice a week, I decided that we needed to get something for Jaxen to do. I thought a bike would be perfect since it is getting warmer and less rainy. Jaxen did have a trike but it has been broke for a few months and he really didn't want to ride on his push and scoot anymore. So we got him his first two wheeler bike. He loves it! It's a hot wheels bike! I must say I was pretty proud of myself, I put the bike together myself. Ron did help with the front brake and tightened up the training wheels, but I put everything else together! I have to also say that I'm more proud of Jaxen. He did great! At first when he would get stuck and couldn't figure out how to work the pedals he would get really upset and start yelling at his bike. But after having a little talk with him about keeping yourself calmed down and keep trying, he has gotten better and better and loves to ride his bike. He can now work the pedals well enough and he gets less frustrated when he gets stuck! Going on walks it alot of fun, he rides his bike and I push the stroller with Jaden. We have a neighborhood park that he loves to ride his bike to now. I love to see him so excited!

Imagination!

Jaxen has a fantastic imagination! I love watching him play. It's one of my favorite things about being a mom. The other day he came out of his room with his halloween bucket on his head. I asked him why he had that on his head and he told me it was his cowboy hat. Then a few minutes later he said " no, it's my moon hat" and then I watched him play pretend. It's so cute to watch him. I love my creative little boy!

Big Brother!

Jaxen has finally warmed up to the idea of being a big brother. While I was pregnant he would always talk about being a big brother. He would say that he wanted to help out and that he would share his toys with Jaden. He was excited and near the end he would ask how many days left until Jaden would be born. And when I would tell heim he would shout "Yes" with a fist punch in the air! He would talk to Jaden in my tummy and yell " I love you baby!" He would give my tummy hugs and say he was hugging the baby. One time he even came up to me and wacked my tummy hard. I asked him what that was for and he said " I was just giving Jaden a high five!" But once Jaden was born things changed a bit with Jaxen. He seemed to be a bit nervous around him and unsure of himself. He went through the usual trying to figure things out phase, but he didn't show much excitement as before. I think he was nervous to hurt Jaden and me( we explained to him that I would be heaing after surgery and he wouldn't be able to climb on me for a while). Well, I think we emphasized that a little to much because while he was still curious about Jaden, he didn't want to touch him or me very much. After a few weeks though, he seemed to relax and gain a bit more confidence. I think he realized that I was doing okay and Jaden was here to stay and that everything was going to be fine. Now he's a happy big brother! He started singing to Jaden again " hush little baby don't say a word, brother's gonna buy you a mocking bird........." It's so precious. He hugs Jaden and will play with his toys next to Jaden. He will hold the book and snuggle while we read stories together. He will give Jaden kisses and bring out some of his stuff animals to share with Jaden when Jaden is crying. He gets diapers for me when I need them. He will bring Jaden a blanket when he is sleeping. He feels so happy when Jaden will smile at him. He is a great big brother! I look forward to more happy big brother moments like this one! I love you Jaxen! You are a fantastic big brother!

The River Preserve!

About 20 minutes from our house is a river preserve. We like to go there and walk around and enjoy the beauty and peace. The kids like to explore and see if they can find any animals. The week my mom was here we decided to take her there and share it with her. The kids loved it. They rarely left her side as they wanted to show her everything they could. It was a beautiful sunny day, perfect for a nature walk. We loved every minute of it! It was an adventure getting there also. We got lost. Since I was on bedrest throughout most of the pregnancy, it had been along time since we had last been there. Ron and I kept telling eachother how we were supposed to get there and then laugh when we realized that we had yet again taken a wrong turn only to find out that had we stayed on that turn a little longer we would have realized it was the right turn. It was great! I'm so glad that we can laugh with eachother instead of turning it into drama. We had fun getting there as well as being there! I did pretty well I thought being able to walk around a bit after surgery. We did have to leave sooner than planned because I was starting to get really tired and sore. But still it was a beautiful day and my mom enjoyed it as much as we did!

Grandma Snuggles!

The week that Jaden turned one month, my mom came out for a visit. I was still healing from the c-section and Ron had to go back to work so she came out for the week to help me. It was great having her here. The kids absolutely loved it and got hugs and snuggles anytime they could. Usually Jaxen acts shy at first when ever we're around grandma and grandpa, but this time he was so excited to see her at the airport. It was so cute! The kids just couldn't get enough of her. Kaeryn and Tristan were happy that she stayed until the weekend was over so that they could see her for a few days also. It melted my heart when I looked over and saw all three boys snuggling with Grandma! Such a precious memory! I know they can't wait to see her again, nor can I! Love you MOM! Thanks for being such a wonderful Grandma!
