The Book Den

So a few month's ago we found this used book store called the book den. We actually found it by accident as we were looking for a different bookstore that we decided no longer exists. Anyway, we've come to really like this store. They are affiliated with the local library system and they recieve books from the library when the library gets rid of books to bring more in. They also get donations from people too. So as long as you don't mind having a library sticker on your book, you can have some great finds. We have come to belive this. The prices are perfect and we feel like we've scored. Especially this weekend. They have a program where you can get a "Friends card" as they call it. The money goes to one of the local libraries and you get 10% off every purchase. And then about 3 times a year they have a huge sale where they open the warehouse and let you go through the warehouse. The first half of the day they open to friends only, so if you have a friends card you get to have first pick. When we first found the bookstore we thought it would be perfect to get a friends card because we love books as a family so much and were going quite often( with kids books 1.00$ each it's not so bad). So this weekend was our first sale we got to go to at the warehouse. It was so great! A huge section of books were 4 for a dollar and other's a dollar. Needless to say we were so excited we went a bit crazy and got a ton of books! And the exciting thing was, we didn't break the bank on all these books. I'm not going to say how much but I will say it was very much under a hundred and we got about a hundred books. We had fun and we look forward to the next one that's in september. It was definitly worth saving for. We totally scored the jackpot this weekend!
