Camping at Bass Lake

This year's family vacation we camped down at Bass Lake and planned to spend time in Yosemite National Park. It was beautiful! We camped in the Forks campground at Bass lake. We loved our campsite. We were walking distance from the lake and the site was big enough that we had room to play around. We arrived there in the afternoon of June 30th and we stayed until July 3rd. Kaeryn and Tristan helped pitch the tent and Ron got to enjoy his new camping stove he got for father's day. The boys brought their sand dump trucks and had fun scooping up the dirt and rocks (Jaxen mainly did this). Ron brought his telescope and we were able to get some great views of the moon and stars. This time we planned to cook our own food instead of going out to eat the whole time. We really enjoyed our bacon and eggs and pork chops and brats. Ron was so excited to use his new stove. He was a great camp cook. I think the kids favorite food though was roasting marshmellows and making s'mores. Kaeryn and Tristan each got their own roasting stick this year and got to roast their own marshmellows. I think they were excited about that. It was a perfect time.
